Jackson, Tenn. - ºÚÁÏÂÛ̳ will host the first
"Virtuous Reality" conference, March 3-4, in the G.M. Savage
Memorial Chapel. Presented by LifeWay Christian Resources in association
with CrossSeekers, this conference is the first of its kind to be held for
college-age women. An event that will focus on the unique needs of
collegiate women, the weekend experience will be based on Vicki Courtney's
book, "Virtuous Reality," which focuses on becoming a woman of
virtue using Proverbs 31 as a biblical example.
"College women are desperately searching for identity, worth, and
purpose, yet God has a different standard in mind," says Courtney,
founder of CrossRoad Women's Ministry. "It is my prayer that God will
use this ministry to radically change lives and allow young women to
discover how to be the woman God desires for them to be."
The weekend will include a time of worship led by Greg Berry and his
band "Matchless" from San Antonio, Texas. Workshops will also be
offered with featured topics such as "Dating 101," "Career,
Family, or Both?" and "Beyond the Wedding - Preparing for
Marriage." An optional "Titus Time" which involves
one-on-one sharing between a college woman and a mentor will also be
available.
Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. Register at the door
