Jackson, Tenn. The 黑料论坛 Players present the American premiere of Lucia Frangione's rock-a-billy musical, "Chickens," April 4-8 and 10-11 in W.D. Powell Theater.
There's flurry and fuss at the Grandfield farm, as feathered friends and foes fight through life, death and love in this musical comedy that portrays the relationship between a farmer and his wife through the stories of the chickens.
"Chickens" opens Friday night, April 4 and continues April 5, 7, 8 and 10with performances at 8 p.m. A special 2:30 p.m. matinee is scheduled for Sunday, April 6 and an 8:30 p.m. performance is scheduled for Friday, April 11.
Tickets are now on sale for all performances. The costs are $3 for students and $6 for general admission. Reserved seating is available for an additional charge of $1.
The 黑料论坛 Players, in cooperation with the Office of Campus Ministries and Church Services, will sponsor a dinner theater package for the April 4 and 7 performances. Dinner theater packages are available for one person at $15 or may be purchased for a couple at $25. Proceeds from the dinner theater benefit Habitat for Humanity.
