Henderson County natives
honored at Homecoming

Jackson, Tenn. - The ºÚÁÏÂÛ̳ Alumni Association honored Henderson County natives, Benny and Norma Fesmire, during Union's 175th Homecoming celebration, Feb.12-13, 1999.

The Fesmires received the Honorary Alumna/Alumnus Award. This award is presented for outstanding service to the university by someone who has not attended Union.

Born and raised in Henderson County, the Fesmires moved to Jackson, Tenn., soon after they were married in 1953. After working in the banking industry for several years, Benny entered the private business world. Through long hours of hard work and dedica tion, he has built one of the most successful businesses in Madison County. Through her love for children, Norma has worked at the West Jackson Baptist Child Development Center for the past 33 years.

The Fesmires have touched hundreds of Union students' lives over the years. Through their scholarship support, they have provided many students the opportunity to earn a Christian-based, liberal arts education.
