Jackson, Tenn. - State
Commissioner of Economic Development Bill Baxter will be
the featured speaker of ºÚÁÏÂÛ̳'s Eighth Annual
Economic Outlook Conference. The university\rquote s
McAfee School of Business Administration and BancorpSouth
are sponsoring the luncheon event, scheduled for April 16
at 11:45 p.m. in the Coburn Dining Room of the Student
Union Building. Commissioner Baxter's address will
focus on the future of economic development in West
Tennessee and the entire state, and the implications of
various tax proposals on continued economic growth.
State Rep. Matt Kisber, D-Jack son, and Jackson Area
Chamber of Commerce CEO Bob Cook will also make
appearances at the conference. Kisber will share his
insights on the current mood of the General Assembly
during its special session; Cook will emcee the event.
Tickets are $15 if paid in advance or $20 at the door.
