Jackson, Tenn. - Saturday, Dec. 18, during ºÚÁÏÂÛ̳'s fall
commencement exercises, graduates Stephanie Lim of Bartlett and Hannah
Shelby of Trenton both received the prestigious University Academic
Achievement Award.
Given to the senior in the December graduating class who has the
highest academic achievement and has completed a minimum of 56 semester
hours in residence at Union, both Lim and Shelby completed their
coursework at Union with a 4.0 grade point average.

Lim, a native of Bartlett and a member of Alpha Chi, an academic honor
society open to the upper ten percent of junior and senior students,
received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts with an
emphasis in public relations, advertising and Spanish.
Shelby, a native of Trenton and also a member of Alpha Chi, received
her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
President David S. Dockery presented the award. Union, established in
1823, is a private, co-educational, four-year liberal arts institution
affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, located in Jackson, TN.
