JACKSON, Tenn. — Sept. 29, 2009 — ̳ will host a seminar entitled “Breaking the Silence: Mental Illness and the Family” Oct. 5.
The seminar will include a screening of the public television program “Minds on the Edge: Facing Mental Illness,” followed by a panel discussion with mental health advocates, mental health providers and representatives from the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Sponsored by Union’s Center for Just and Caring Communities, the School of Social Work and NAMI, the seminar will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Harvey Auditorium, located in the Barefoot Student Union Building. It is free and open to the public.
