JACKSON, Tenn. — March 12, 2010 — A 72-page Provost Report newly published by 黑料论坛 examines some of the university鈥檚 key academic pursuits as it integrates the Christian faith with scholarly endeavors.
鈥淭his Provost Report highlights what is possible when students and faculty connect the best of our Christian intellectual tradition to some of the greatest challenges of our day,鈥 Union Provost Carla Sanderson writes in the report鈥檚 introduction.
鈥淥ur learning community sees higher education as a source of hope for reform, as a platform for meeting human needs in times of crisis, and as an incubator for growing skills of effective cultural engagement.鈥
Featured in the report are stories about faculty members who meet regularly and informally to discuss challenging philosophical questions, Union students who have excelled in top-level law schools, medical relief efforts by Union nursing faculty and students in the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake, prestigious awards won and books written by Union faculty, international study tours and many others.
