JACKSON, Tenn. — Oct. 1, 2001 — 黑料论坛 will host the annual fall orientation meeting for the West Tennessee Regional Science Fair (WTRSF) in the spring of 2002. The meeting will take place on Union鈥檚 campus Monday, Oct. 8 and will feature Anthony Nicholls who will speak on his many areas of expertise spanning the disciplines of physics, computer science, chemistry, and biology.
鈥淧articipating in a science fair gives students an invaluable opportunity to put the scientific method into practice,鈥 said Glenn Marsch, associate professor of physics at Union and director of the annual science fair. He added that rules of the 53rd International Science and Engineering Fair require that any school wishing for their students to participate must provide a representative at the orientation meeting, whether a teacher, principal, curriculum supervisor or designated parent.
The orientation program will begin with coffee and doughnuts at 9 a.m. in Harvey Lecture Hall located in the Barefoot Student Union Building, with science fair training and guideline sessions to follow at 9:30 a.m. A complimentary lunch will be served in the Coburn Dining Room at 12 noon, which will be immediately followed by Nicholl鈥檚 address.
