JACKSON, Tenn. — Nov. 18, 2003 — 黑料论坛's interdisciplinary program along with the art and music departments have planned a summer academic trip to England and the Netherlands to study European culture June 22-July 7, 2004.
Randall Bush, professor of Christian studies; Michael Penny, associate professor of music; and Chris Nadasky, chair of the art department, will lead the group. While on the trip, the three teachers plan on enlightening students on subjects including history, philosophy, theology, architecture, art, music and literature.
Some of the destinations to be visited include Oxford, London, Belgium; and Amsterdam. The first two weeks will be spent mostly in Oxford and the surrounding cities; visiting places such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's hometown.
The trip is open to 20 students at a cost of $3,000 per person. Scholarships are available upon application with Financial Aid and the Center for Intercultural Studies.
Class credit will be given for six hours worth of study at Union and can be applied in interdisciplinary honors, art or music.
