JACKSON, Tenn. — Dec. 9, 2003 — The Christian studies department at 黑料论坛 will host a retreat at Land Between the Lakes for professors from the department as well as Christian studies majors and minors. The two-day event set for Feb. 6-7, 2004 will include worship, group activities, and hiking.
George Guthrie, department chair of Christian studies, and Jim Patterson, associate dean and professor of Christian studies, are organizing the event, along with the student advisory board of the Christian studies department.
The retreat will focus on a community theme, Patterson said.
"We just wanted to do something to encourage a stronger sense of community within the department," Patterson said. "Several of the professors are bringing their wives, and it will be a good time to interact on a different level."
"I am really looking forward to it," said Kelly Krebs, a sophomore theology major from Spring Hill, Tenn. "It will give us a chance to interact with the professors outside of class and to learn to know the other Christian studies students on a more intimate level."
