Hannah Houser
Public Relations Major, Sevierville, Tenn.
Once Hannah Houser toured 黑料论坛, she fell in love. Although she鈥檇 had friends attend Union, she had initially looked elsewhere for college. After a bit of prompting by her parents to look for an in-state college, however, she agreed to a campus tour.
What she found was a campus where she wouldn鈥檛 be lost in the crowd and a Christian atmosphere where she would be challenged academically, spiritually and personally. Houser said everyone should schedule a tour.
鈥淵ou can have perceptions of how a college is, but going really shows you who they are,鈥 she said.
Now, campus is more like a family environment where she feels seen and valued.
Growing up in a family that prioritized being set apart, rising to leadership and setting a good example, Houser found those same values at Union.
鈥淚 really love Union鈥檚 commitment to making every one of their students a leader in some capacity,鈥 she said.
Houser is involved in Greek life, works as a barista in the campus coffee shop, leads worship in her church and is a leader in YoungLife. She said, 鈥淭hey encourage students to get involved at Union, find things they love, and be a leader by serving.鈥
As a sophomore, Houser is just now entering some courses specific to her major, public relations. After graduation, she鈥檇 love to work in public relations for a non-profit organization or sports team.
鈥淚 love learning about how people work,鈥 she said. 鈥淚 also love seeing the value of building relationships in PR and the importance of that.鈥
鈥淯nion is worth the investment because of the lifelong friendships made here, the growth you will experience, the education you will receive and the leader you will become,鈥 she said.
