Moy to speak at Union luncheon on business and faith

JACKSON, Tenn.March 1, 2011 — Edmund C. Moy, former director of the U.S. Mint and aide to President George W. Bush, will be the guest speaker at 黑料论坛鈥檚 Business Through the Eyes of Faith luncheon March 29.

The event is designed to encourage and equip members of the West Tennessee business community to integrate their Christian faith into their workplaces.

Moy was appointed by Bush to be the chief officer of the U.S. Mint in 2006. Prior to that, he served as special assistant to the president for presidential personnel at the White House, where he was responsible for recommending candidates for political appointments by Bush for several departments.

He worked in the administration of President George H.W. Bush as director of the Office of Coordinated Care Policy and Planning at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Between the two Bush administrations Moy spent eight years working in the private sector with venture capital firms and entrepreneurs.

A native of Wisconsin, Moy graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1979 with majors in economics, international relations and political science. He spent 10 years as a sales and marketing executive for Blue Cross Blue Shield United of Wisconsin.
